If you haven't already heard, the Triple Play Improv summer season is starting as we return to the Pacific Theatre on July 26th at 8pm. Tickets are just $10. For more information, please take a look at our recent article in the Burnaby Now. May 16, 2008 Well, it has been a long while since we've updated our website, but we are proud to announce "The Return of Triple Play Improv" on June 7, 2008 at the Shadbolt Centre. We're really excited about this show and look forward to seeing you there. "The Return of Triple Play Improv" August 9, 2007 Get ready for the last Triple Play Improv show of the summer (tear). This will be a very special improv show featuring two special guests, Josh Bowman and Kaitlin Fontana. In the spirit of the end of summer, our theme for this show will be... the end of the summer! We call it, "How I Spent my Improv Summer." Join us on August 25th at the Shadbolt Centre where we'll explore all the great things we love and will miss about summertime. Click here for more info. July 31, 2007 We want to send a belated thanks to everyone who joined us on July 21st for our return to the Shadbolt Centre. We wrap up our summer season later on August 25th with some special guest stars. Stay tuned for details. July 12, 2007 So here's the deal for our upcoming return to the Shadbolt Centre on July 21st. The show is called Improv Campfire Stories. In the spirit of the summer and the face-melting weather we thought we'd recreate the essence of a great campfire story. Join us as we weave together three incredible tales of mystery, intrigue, and suspense. And, of course, we'll be playing plenty of our favourite improv games too. July 5, 2007 We just wanted to thank everyone who attended our show at the Pacific Theatre last Saturday for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer. With your support, we raised more than $1000 for a very good cause. We hope you enjoyed the show. Join us this month on July 21st for our return to the Shadbolt Centre. Franz Stifter thanks you too.
June 28, 2007 The big show is this Saturday night! Our first show in Vancouver is bound to be a good one, so you don't want to miss it. You can read about us in the Georgia Straight this week. Hope to see you there (and your friends too). June 15, 2007 For those of you looking forward to our
show at the North Shore Unitarian Church next week, here is the address
and directions: June 10, 2007 It won't be long before Triple Play Improv kicks off the summer season. We start with a show on June 22nd at the North Shore Unitarian Church. Next we end the month of June with our big fundraiser event on June 30th at the Pacific Theatre in Vancouver. Finally, we return to the Shadbolt Centre in Burnaby for July and August. Be sure to check out our upcoming shows section for details. May 12, 2007 Last weekend, Andrea and Jeff got hitched! As they enjoy their honeymoon, we wanted to congratulate them and say that it was a beautiful wedding. We especially enjoyed the handsome and clever MCs.
April 25, 2007 We have returned from Pender Harbour
after a fun and successful fundraiser performance for the Madeira Park
Elementary School playground project. They raised $3,700 last Saturday
night. Congratulations! We want to thank everyone who came to the show. We
had a great time and we hope you did too. April 9, 2007 Our tour of the Sunshine Coast is coming up soon and we're looking forward to bringing the improv to Pender Harbour. For more information, have a peek at what they're saying about us in the Burnaby Now and the Coast Reporter. March 5, 2007 Triple Play Improv is heading to the Sunshine Coast next month to perform at Pender Harbour! The Madeira Park Elementary School Playground Committee has invited us to hop on the ferry and head northward to help raise money for their playground project. Since we love ferries and we know that the provincial government couldn't possibly be bothered to provide adequate funding for playground facilities, we thought we'd come out and do our part. Click here for more info! January 21, 2007 Wow! Last night's show was a blast! We had an amazing time and we hope you enjoyed the performance. We want to give a special thanks, as always, to Jeff and Alicia for running the lights and front-of-house. Extra credit is due to Jeff for rapidly fixing our lighting snafu. Triple Play Improv is off to a great start. We've got shows coming up for those of you who couldn't make it last night so stay tuned. Here are a couple of pics from An Improv Scrapbook. Now. July 20, 2006 Well, would you look at that. Someone at Triple Play Improv finally figured out how to use a camera. We now have an up-to-date photo of the group following the "3-2-1 Improv!" performance at the Shadbolt Centre a couple of weeks ago. From right to left we have Sean, Andrea and Jeremy. Ta-da! Now Jeremy didn't like the way his eyes look in this picture so our computer experts have touched up his eyes to make them look a bit more... how should I put this? Alert. That's better. July 10, 2006 Our last performance at the Shadbolt Centre was a rousing success. We'd like to send out a heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to our first sold-out performance. Fun and good times were had by all. We hope you will join us again on August 19th for our first improvised play called, The Engagement. See our upcoming shows sections for details. July 3, 2006 Just five more days until our second performance at the Shadbolt Centre! This Saturday, July 8th we are holding out second show called "3-2-1 Improv". Everything is set for the show and now we only need you, our audience, to join us at 7:30pm this Saturday. We encourage you all to bring along some friends and share with them the joy of Triple Play Improv. That's right, joy. If you are driving, please consult our map located in the upcoming shows section. If you are taking Translink, just catch the Skytrain to Sperling Station, then it's just a short ride on the 144 Metrotown Station bus to the Shadbolt Centre at Deer Lake Park. Hope to see you there! June 9, 2006 I know this is late notice, but for those of you interested in seeing some top notch improv (besides Triple Play Improv) we encourage you to check out the Vancouver International Improv Festival at Performance Works on Granville Island. June 7, 2006 The big bad improv machine that is Triple Play Improv keeps on rollin' as we get ready for our second show. We are proud to announce the date and time for what we are calling "3-2-1 Improv!" on July 8, 2006 at 7:30pm at the Shadbolt Centre in Studio 105. The concept, like our first show, is to showcase the best improv-comedy games, but this time each game will build upon the previous by drawing elements from one scene to kick-off the next scene. Sound interesting? We think so. We hope to see you there. For more info check out our upcoming shows section. April 24, 2006 We would like to send out a big thanks to everyone who came to our first performance at the Shadbolt Centre last night. We had an amazing time and a lot of fun.
